ZTNA vs. VPN
Traditional VPNs grant unrestricted access to the corporate network after initial authentication, creating a secure tunnel between the user’s device and the internal infrastructure. However, this approach exposes the organization to risks, as any authenticated user can access sensitive areas of the corporate environment.
ZTNA, on the other hand, follows the Zero Trust principle of “never trust, always verify.” Instead of providing broad access, it validates each request based on multiple factors, such as identity, device, and context.
